Sometimes the early and rarer books reflect the age and the condition of the originals. Torture it with guilt, deny it, hate it. His accomplishments and his interactions with other people are documented copiously elsewhere, but here you learn something about his ways of thinking that you cannot learn from a third party. This book is a must read for anyone interested in Cuban history and identity as well as anyone interested in reading about children's rights and the political manipulation of children. , this book has been a great source of comfort and has provided lots of practical insight as I make my way through my new reality.
